QQEnglish Seafront Campus: Host OF Horiemon Day

Who is Horiemon?

Horie Takafumi, born October 29, 1972 is a Japanese entrepreneur who founded Livedoor, a website design operation that grew into a popular internet portal. He is popularly known as Horiemon due to his resemblance to Doraemon, the chubby robot cat in the popular magna series cartoon in Japan.

HIU Summer Camp at Seafront

Horiemon also established Horiemon Innovation University (HIU), the largest online salon in Japan. HIU is an online salon that business-minded people, game players, and otherwise motivated and creative people gather and exchange ideas.
Recently, HIU held a summer camp at QQEnglish’s Seafront Campus on July 4th and 5th. This was HIU’s first overseas camp, so they were all very excited.

Let’s introduce the events featured at the camp. First, JINRO, meaning “werewolf” in English, is game known as a topic-of-conversational psychological game often played in Japan. At camp, they tried this game in English. What you need for this game are good communication skills, sharp observational abilities, and a strong persuasive power. It is an incandescent game with full rotation of participants' heads. Werewolf can be played with 5 to 75 players of any age.
Each player has a specific agenda. As a villager, you hunt down werewolves. As a werewolf, you try and convince the villagers that you are innocent, while secretly attacking those same villagers each night. Dozens of special roles are available to help both the villagers and the werewolves achieve their goals.

Second, was the Water Survival Game played on a beautiful beach of Pandanon Island, which is said to be the closest island to heaven.

The rules of the game are simple. Punches are targeted to each other's head, and the team who has the most number survivors in the end wins. Mr. Raiko Fujioka, the president of QQEnglish, also participated and everyone had loads of fun.

The Photo Session

After that, we brought in a professional Filipino model and had a photo session. The male photographers were most excited to have the gorgeous Pinay beauty pose and then take her picture. It was a unique and inspiring event for Japanese photography buffs.
